About Us
This site is all about beercaps (and any other bottle top worthy of a decent design) and the appreciation of the artwork that many caps do have to offer.
One night following a session of many fine beverages the pile of caps began to stack up on the table—the usual process at this stage is to dispose of the evidence before the wife’s begin to ask questions & lecture us about alcohol consumption, along with all that usual nagging stuff that they know you are either un-fit to reply to, or will just agree to i.e. completing some DIY job with a mighty hang over…. This pile of caps looked quite good, on this occasion we decided to keep the caps in a draw and call it a collection..
The following week we decided to check out the internet only to find that bottle caps are collectable items and going for a mint on e-bay in the USA? After further research it was quite clear that many European countries & the USA are avid collectors however the UK is near non-existent.
With this in mind our Friday drinking sessions have become a good excuse to further our collection—it is an enjoyable past time that has grown rapidly hic The UK has many beers, we want to help promote these beers by use of the cap designs (any breweries using plain caps should reconsider—we do not display plain caps of repeated designs for different beers).
If you would like to help our crusade and promote UK beercap designs please feel free to send us some feedback or even donate a cap to our cause. We will continue to collect world caps, this gives a perfect example of the quality we need to aim for here in the UK.
